Sunburst Mirror

I saw this craft last year and wanted to give it a try. My sister Tea came over in April, and we braved it together.
I thought I could just run to the nursery to pick up the wooden plant markers that we needed, and what do you know? Apparently nobody here carries them. We improvised the hard way and bought wooden craft sticks and cut the ends off. I think it was something like 96 sticks. Ugh. Wire cutters are NOT meant for wood. End of lecture. The rest was easy.

We glued on the mirror, the sticks and the skewers.

Lastly we tied a string around it to transport it and make it easier to hang. It's virtually impossible to hold by hand.
Tea spray-painted hers silver, and I did mine this amazing sea blue. I LOVE it!
The sad part is, by the time I got around to painting and hanging it, I took off the contact paper, and my mirror is WARPED! What? I promise it's not a cheap mirror...I'm so mad about it, but I don't quite know what to do, so there it hangs in my entry way until I can figure it out.
Thanks Teezer for the fun-and interesting craft day!
