I thought I could just run to the nursery to pick up the wooden plant markers that we needed, and what do you know? Apparently nobody here carries them. We improvised the hard way and bought wooden craft sticks and cut the ends off. I think it was something like 96 sticks. Ugh. Wire cutters are NOT meant for wood. End of lecture. The rest was easy.
Tea spray-painted hers silver, and I did mine this amazing sea blue. I LOVE it!
The sad part is, by the time I got around to painting and hanging it, I took off the contact paper, and my mirror is WARPED! What? I promise it's not a cheap mirror...I'm so mad about it, but I don't quite know what to do, so there it hangs in my entry way until I can figure it out.

Supplies used:
Ikea Bjurön plant glide
- 2 dozen 5-inch wooden plant markers (available at nurseries)
- 2 dozen 5-3/4-inch wooden plant markers (available at nurseries)
- 2 dozen wooden skewers (with two flat sides)
- 7-inch round mirror
- silver spray paint
- wood glue
- wooden tooth pick
- sawtooth picture hanger
- Con-Tact paper (color doesn’t matter)
- newspaper or drop cloth
- paper towel
- books that are the same thickness as the plant glide
Tools
- hammer & nail
- small sponge paint brush
- scissors
- wire cutters
- pencil & ruler
- sanding block & fine sand paper
